Easter Card with Fab Friday #39

Hello my stampin' friends!

I have another Easter card to share with you today, in fact I will share Easter cards all week long!  Are you ready for Easter yet?  I still have some bunny tasks to do, but really looking forward to it!

I decided to use the sketch inspiration at Fab Friday!  If you haven't arrived here from there, go ahead a pop on over!  They have some amazing cards and challenges to inspire you!

For this card I finally pulled out my Deco Framelits - I can't believe I haven't used them yet!  The smallest size was a perfect fit for the little bunny from the new Easter set Eggstra Spectacular!  I stamped him in Basic grey and used a candy dot for his tail - a really cute idea I found on the world web.

Here is a look at my card....

I hope it gives you some inkspiration!

Easter Card with Freshly Made Sketches (FMS 131)

Hello, thanks for stopping by!

I hope you enjoyed your weekend!  It is starting to warn up in my neck of the woods - almost all of the snow is gone and we even had a thunderstorm last night!  Let the April showers begin!

I have an Easter card to share with you today. I took my inspiration from the great sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  The cards that they have there for inspiration are beautiful!  Make sure you stop on over there!

I wanted some great spring colours, Calypso Coral and Old Olive.  I wanted to use one of my old favourite Easter stampsets, Everybunny.  The images are SO cute!  I also used another retired Easter Set called Springtime Smiles for the greeting.

Here is my card...

Retro Brithday Card

Hello my Stampin' friends,

I have a quick post for you today with a simple and quick birthday card.  This card  would be perfect for a male or female card for the young and the not so young alike.

I took my colour cue from the Retro Fresh Designer Series paper.  I used a Very Vanilla card base and layered it up with Baked Brown Sugar and the Retro Fresh paper.  I added some of that great ruffled stretch ribbon.  I used the matching punch and stamp set Label of Love (save 15% when you buy them both together).  I also punched an extra Artisan Label in baked brown sugar and cut it in half to make a 'fooler' border!  Just what was needed to emphasize the sentiment!

I added two banners one in Tango Tangerine and one in Bermuda Bay.

Happy Stampin,

Tammy

Easter Blessings and Stampin' Royalty SR #223

Well ,hi there, thanks for stopping by!

I have an Easter card for you today.  While I was over at the Stampin' Royalty blog, I noticed that they have an Easter Inspired picture challenge, so I thought I would join the fun.  Make sure you stop by to see what they have created.

I had the distinct pleasure of stamping with some ladies from our local church earlier this week!   They do so much for our community including fundraising to make the church more accessible for those that can't walk the stairs in the 100 year old building...So they needed a fun night just for them!  They wanted to give card making a try and asked me to teach them some card techniques!  How lucky am I?  Here is one of the cards that I designed for them to make - what do you think?

I just love the purples during this time of year - perfect for advent celebrations and anything that symbolizes Easter!

I started with a Very Vanilla Card base, used a layer of Wisteria Wonder dry embossed with the Framed Tulips embossing folder, I used my Ovals Framelits in Perfect Plum and Very Vanilla for framing my sentiment, which by the way, is one of last year's Easter stamps (now retired), sorry.

I couldn't resist using the two butterfly punches and some of that fabulous Chevron Ribbon in Wisteria Wonder!

I just love how this card turned out.  Not a great 'mailable' card, but really pretty.  The ladies from church loved it too!

Have a wonderful day!  Happy Stampin'

Birthday and The Paper Players #189

Hello there my stampin' friends!

I have a quick post for you today.  It is a card I had made a while back but thought it needed a little something before I showed it to you.  Do you ever have any of those...you have an idea in your head, you put it on paper but it still isn't quite right?  Well, here is an example of that for me!

I wanted to use the hexagon punch - it was a part of an old challenge - and well, I couldn't get it to come together.  When I added the Bitty Butterfly punch and some sponging it REALLY made a difference!  Sometimes, life just needs some sponging!

And a luck would have it, I received a reminder e-mail from The Paper Players about this week's challenge - a tic-tac-toe.  My card fits into the match of Birthday card, punch and ribbon or twine!  Make sure you stop by to see all of the great creations people have come up with!

I hope my card inspires you to plow through the ones that don't turn out exactly as you had planned!

Happy stampin'
