Kids Birthday

Hello friends,

Glad you stopped by today.  I have a kid inspired card for you!  I can't seem to have enough of these in my stash - these and cards for the men in my life!

For this card I used some paper from the retired Halloween DSP pack - the colours are a perfect match for a kids birthday - I just LOVE when things can be used for more than one purpose!  You have to make the most of you supplies, right?

The stampset I used is the retired Bring on the Cake.  I coloured the letters using the matching colours of Stampin' Write markers - so you could tailor it to ANY DSP.

I added two banners and some two toned trim!

I hope you like my card!

Masculine Birthday Card

Hello there!  Thanks for stopping by!

I have a very simple masculine card for you today.  We could all use more cards for the men in our lives, couldn't we?

I find it hard sometimes to get some inspiration for masculine cards and so I turned to some patterned paper in my stash - this one is from the fall DSP pack from our last catalogue.  It is a fun geometric pattern.

I took my colour cue from the DSP as well.  I let the DSP do the talkin' so to speak!

I added the fun punches of Spiral Boarder and the Note Tag and finally a bit of ribbon and voila - a card was born!  ;)

Here is my card......

Valentines on Roger's TV

Hello my Stampin' friends,

Today I had the distinct please of being a guest on Roger's Daytime TV.  The theme was Valentine's Day of course!  We created some great project while I shared all the wonderful things happening at Stampin'UP!  Here are some pictures of my display....

My first picture is of my whole display.

I made a banner inside a 5 x 7 picture frame using the Hey, Valentine! stampset.  I coloured my little bird using the new Beldabilites.

I made two treat holders using the new Mini Treat Holder Thinlits Die - I just LOVE this die!  I decorated them using the Happy Heart Embossing Folder as well as the Hey, Valentine! stampset - I think it has to be my favourite Valentine set in this year!  Then I coloured them using the Blendabilites

Of course we made some cards too!  I used the You Plus Me as well as the Groovey Kind of Love stampset.  The Sweetheart punch came in really handy for this too!

I also made some treat bags using our great cello bags and different stamps and punches.

And finally, my kids and I made these treat sleeves using the 1 x 8 cello bags with some hearts on top.

I had a lot of fun with my friends at Daytime!  I can't wait to see them again!

Valentine's

Hello my stampin' friends!

I hope your week is going well!  Thank you for stopping by.

My cards today are inkspired ;) from some left over card class packages I had sitting on my crafting table!  I had these left over from a Christmas card class that one of my friends could make at the last minute.  Life can be busy right?

The colours happen the prefect for Valentines too!  So I thought it would be fun to come up with three different cards using the same card kits.  I used different stamps and punches to get some different Valentines looks.  I think they turned out cute - what a great way to clear some space on my table!

For my first card, I used the new Confetti Heart Boarder Punch!  Love this one!  The stamp is from the new You Plus Me Stampset

For my second card, I used the Retired Small Heart Punch.  I love this Twitterpated stamp from the You Plus Me set - so cute!

And finally, for my last card, I used the new Sweetheart Punch - I just love how curvy it is.

I hope this inkspires you to be creative with the items on your table.

A Sassy Thank you!

Good morning my Stampin' friends,

I hope you are having a great weekend so far.  I thought I would share one of the cards we made at my last card class....a Sassy Thank you!

I used two of my favourites stampsets from the Annual Catalogue - Sassy Salutations and Gorgeous Grunge!  They are SO versatile!

The Sassy Salutations are a great size for the front of a card or even a scrapbook page!  And the Gorgeous Grunge is perfect for subtly filling in those blank spaces you may not want!  Used to make mud marks on a page or card, blood spaltters at Halloween time, water marks for a great nautical theme.....the possibilities are endless!

Here is the card I made....

My colour combo is Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake and Whisper White.  I used my Circles Framelits and my Circle punches to make the Whisper White and Crumb Cake Circles.

The DSP is from the retired fall pack from the most recent Holiday catalogue.  I polished it off with some Whisper White Ribbon and coloured Rhinestones.

Try Stampin' on Tuesday!

Hello everyone,

Thank you for stopping by!  I have another Valentine's Day card for you and I have used lots of my new goodies to make it!

I thought I would try out the sketch over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday to give me some inspiration.  I just love to get the ideas flowing with a sketch - and they have a great one!

Here is my card............

I took my colour inspiration from the Stacked with Love DSP stack although didn't use any of their patterned paper - just stole the colour combo. ;)

One of my favorite new tools is the Confetti Heart Border Punch.  It makes some great teeny tiny hearts for a shaker card! Hmm, that maybe my next card.  I used the great Valentine's day stampset from the Occasions Catalogue, You Plus Me.

Finally, I used my Hearts Framelits in 2 different sizes to get my heart shapes for the front of my card.

Where have I been?

Hello my Stampin' Friends,

Thank you for stopping by - if you have been stopping in lately, you are probably wondering where I have been.  Well, it has been a really busy January with some good and happy things and some real big health troubles for my mother-in-law.  She is on a long road of recovery from Cancer Surgery and has had some major set backs, but we are on the positive road once again.

I thought I would give you some proud mama moments before my card - this is the happy I was mentioning earlier.

Below is a video of my oldest son winning his second shoot out in one day to take the Championship for his home tournament!  If any of you reading are a goalie parent ....you know how much stress a shoot out is, and how I survived two in one day I will never know.  SO proud of him ;)

And one more proud mama moment is this picture of my youngest - he also LOVES his hockey!  In his last game he scored a goal from the blue line - which, when you are six, is a pretty big deal.  So here is a picture of him in the dressing room holding a certificate for player of the game.  The other team's coaches chose him!  squeel!

Well, onto the real reason you stopped by - how about a card?

I have been making my fair share of Valentines Cards - they are so much fun.  Here is one I made using a design I found on Pinterest.  I had to make it.  It isn't too girly as they say in my house, so it was perfect.

Here it is....

Thank you for stopping by.
