Christmas with Roger's Daytime TV

Well, hello there!

I hope you had wonderful Christmas.  I had a really great time with my whole family!  We have spent some great quality time together, Santa came and we had some really nice meals with friends and family.

I have some pictures to show you from my latest visit to my friends at Roger's Daytime TV.  I always have SO much fun when I get to visit them and show some new projects and products to the viewers.

Here are the projects I made for the show.  The first picture is of my whole display.

I brought lots of Christmas cards to show them.  After all Christmas cards are a big part of gift giving at Christmas time.  Some you will have seen in my previous posts.  Here is one I made using the new Festive Flower Punch and the coordinating Reason for the Season stampset!

Here is a tag I made using the Delicate Ornament Thinlits.  Such beautiful details in these ornaments. This would make a nice gift tag for a present or a tag on a treat bag - perfect for a teacher or the garbage man!

Here is a picture of my favourite tag of the season....I used the negative of the Perfect Pines Framelit and added some DSP behind it using some dimensionals.  I also ran the tag through the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.  Finally, I added a cute little wooden snowfake as my tree topper.

Here is the 3-D project we made live on the air.  Can you guess what Thinlits die I used?  Yep, the Cutie Pie Thinlits Die.  Makes the perfect 3-D Christmas tree doesn't it?  I added some DSP to the front of my tree as well as some tiny little ornaments that I cut using the ornaments from the Perfect Pines Framelits pack.  I added a star that I cut using the Star Framelits - I used the second smallest star.  Finally, my greeting is from Versatile Christmas

I always like to bring a scrapbook page.  I love making a shadow box with the annual picture with Santa!

Here is the Season to Season Wreath Kit all decorated up for Christmas.

Finally, I filled a mason jar with candy canes and made a tag using the Festive Flower Builder Punch.  I added some dazzling details to the flower and attached the tag using some beautiful white ribbon.  My greeting on the tag is from the coordinating stampset to the Festive Flower Builder Punch, Reason for the Season. I used this jar on my desert table on Christmas day.

Please remember that all of these products are available until January 4th.  Perfect for getting a head start on next year's tags and cards or for scrapbooking your Christmas pictures to capture this year's memories.

Christmas Card with TGIF Challenges

Welcome back,
I have another Christmas card for you today .  This card I made using some fun Christmas tools from the Holiday catalogue and that I created for the challenge over at TGIF challenges, tgifc34 - Holly Jolly.

The inspiration picture is fun and whimsical with lots of green, red and white.  Here is the picture...

And here is my card....

I knew right away I wanted to use my Perfect Pines framelits with the coordinating Peaceful Pines stampset.  I LOVE that these perfect little pines come in 3 different sizes!  I stamped on the largest one, made the middle size a darker green and then popped the smallest up on dimensionals.

My card base and my greeting are in Real Red - a very Christmasy red.  I created some texture with my Softly falling Embossing folder on a Whisper White layer.  And finally, I added one of those beautiful wooden snowflakes right beside my greeting.

I sent this card to my sister in New Brunswick, Canada.  I hope she likes it.

Be sure to check out all of the great cards over at TGIF Challenges.

Can you Case It? with Freshly Made Sketches

Hello stampers,

It is so close to Christmas, I can hardly stand it!  I almost have all of the Christmas shopping done, the wrapping will soon begin and our Elf on the Shelf has been in almost every spot he possibly can!

So, of course, I have a Christmas card to show you today. I used 2 challenges to help me create this beautiful card, Can you Case it? and Freshly Made Sketches! They both have very similar sketches and that made this card REALLY easy to create.  I took along with me to my most recent TV appearance with Roger's Daytime.  We had a ton of fun, but I will tell you more about that later in the week.

First, here are the sketches...

CYCI#100

 And, here is my card......

A very traditional card....don't you think?  When I saw these sketches I knew I wanted to use one of my newest tools - the Festive Flower Builder Punch.  This flower is surprisingly easy to create.  I first punched all the petals, as well as a 3/4 circle that you can't see in the picture, all out of Real Red cardstock.  Then, I stamped the flower pieces with the coordinating stamspet, Reason for the Season, also in Real Red.  The flower center is punched out of a scrap piece of yellow cardstock.  The circle is used as a base for the flower to be assembled upon.  I used my Tombo glue to put it all together.

My greeting is from Versatile Christmas and the DSP is from the Season of Cheer package.

Thanks for joining me today.  Be sure to stop by Can you Case it? and Freshly Made Sketches to see all of the wonderful inspiration there.

Stampin' Celebration Challenge

Hey there.  So glad you stopped by.

All ready for Christmas yet?  I still have some work to do, but have lots of great inspiration to show you this week to help with some last minute crafts.  I will also show you the projects I made for my most recent appearance on the Roger's Daytime TV show.  It was tons of fun!

We have another great challenge for you over at Stampin' Celebration Challenge this week - it's a sketch to follow along with.  I love it when we a get a layout already decided for us.

Here is the sketch...

I decided that I would create a 'non-Christmas' card for this challenge because it is open for 3 weeks - lots of time to get your creation into us!

Here is my card...

I wanted to make a fun, girly card so I chose two In-colours - Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe (I think they are really great together) and I chose the zebra pattern from the DSP stack Go Wild.

My greeting came from Remembering Your Birthday.  I
stamped my greeting in Tip Top Taupe right onto the DSP.

I hope you find this inspiring and I sure hope you join us at Stampin' Celebration Challenge!  Mark your calendar - the challenge ends January 8th.

Golden Sleigh Ride with Stampin Celebration Challenge!

Hey there

I have my favourite Christmas card of the year to show today and I used my Stampin' Celebration Challenge to create it!

Every year, my card class ladies look for me to make a WOW Christmas card, one to out-do the year before's. NO pressure!  lol  And I have it to show you today.

Have a look at our fabulous golden inspiration......

....a whole bunch of golden, Christmasy goodness!  I was SO excited to see the gold, the deer images, the white circle buttons and the bow!  I HAD to try to incorporate them all!

Here is my card....

So, were you like me and the first time you saw these edglits / stampset combo in the Holiday catalogue, you just HAD to have them?  Yep, I knew they were going to be a hit!  I LOVE layering them up and making a beautiful Christmas scene.  You can make the scenes long or short, use one, two or all three of them....endless choices.

I wanted to create a Christmas ornament using 3 different green colours of cardstock and using the gold foil paper to hightlight the horse drawn sleigh - what I used for the deer images in the inspiration photos.

I added a rimmed pearl to create the top of the ornament, thinking the white buttons here, and then added a cute little golden bow!

Lastly, I placed a golden moon in the background using the coordinating stampset, Jingle All the Way.  The greeting is also from that stampset, I love the way it curves.

I hope you enjoyed my card.  Be sure to join us over at Stampin' Celebration Challenge!  We just LOVE to see all that you create.

Happy stampin'
