Blogging Friends February Blog Hop!

Hi there,  I am really glad you stopped by today because I am so very excited to be participating my in very first every Blog hop....

Welcome to the Blogging Friends Blog Hop!”
Who are the ‘Blogging Friends’? We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators located all across the U.S. and Canada who had never met before. Well, actually, we still haven’t met yet (in person). . .
But, through our common bond of Stampin’ Up! and a shared love of papercrafting we have created a fun new blog hop. Please join us on the 1st of every month to see what wonderful things we have created!
Each month we’ll have a different theme; this month it’s Valentine's.

I decided to make a card for my first ever hop and I used a few of my favourite new things.  Here is my card......

I started by choosing my colours from the Love Blossoms DSP stack.  The card base is Blushing Bride, then a layer of Rose Red and then a layer of Crumb Cake embossed using the World Traverler Embossing Folder.

My image is from the stampset You're Sublime.  I love these little images...Perfect for some great valentine's!  I coloured it in using my blender pens and Stampin' Write Markers.  I added a tiny little heart that I punched out using the Owl Builder Punch.

Finally, I added some little banners from the DSP stack and finished it off with a little bow.

And now some more Valentine's inspiration.....
In case you’ve never ‘done’ a blog hop before, it’s really easy! At the bottom of this post, you’ll see another image similar to the one above, and when you click on it, you’ll be taken directly to the next blog in the hop. Keep clicking on that image at the bottom of each blog post, and you’ll hop through all of the participating blogs, back to where you started – and you’ll see all of the amazing projects created for your inspiration! If you’d prefer to hop about at your leisure, you can click on the individual links for each blog. Happy Hopping

Be sure to stop by later this week to see the other Valentine's projects that I am making for my upcoming appearance on Daytime with Roger's TV.

Stampin Celebration Challenge time

Hello everyone,

Thanks for stopping by today!  I have another fabulous challenge to show you today from Stampin' Celebration Challenge blog!  Have you seen our blog lately?  We have a fun new look to our blog.  Check it out and be sure to join in the fun!

This week, we have some sketch inspiration for you.......
http://stampincelebrationblog.blogspot.ca/
Here is the card I created....

My first thought was, what can I make four of?  Then I thought about my Petite Petals stampset with coordinating punch - perfect!  We have so much snow here, and I know some of our friends to the south and east are getting lots and lots of snow, so maybe it was time to add some flowery goodness!

I took my colour cue from the DSP and this pattern is from the English Garden pack.  Whisper White, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow, then I added some Blackberry Bliss for the flowers and greeting.

I popped everything up on dimensionals to give it some depth and then to finish it all off, I added some of our tiniest rhinestones to the centers of the flowers!  I love that they come in different sizes.  :)

Now....head on over to Stampin' Celebration Challenge and see all of the fab creations that were made with this sketch in mind...and don't forget to join the fun!!

Winter Themend Birthday Card

Walkin' in a winter wonderland.....

We have had SO much snow here in central Ontario in the last two days - it is crazy!  My middle one is SO excited because it means full steam ahead for his skiing but the people needing to drive anywhere, aren't exactly happy!
So, I couldn't help but use the Snow Friends framelits to create the card I have to show you today and then I looked to some challenge blogs for some help beyond that.

I took some inspiration from the sketch over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and the colour choices from the Colour Challenge over at The Paper Players.  Be sure to check out all of the great creations made with these 2 challenges.

Here is the sketch from Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration....

....and the colour challenge at The Paper Players....

The colour challenge is quite a stretch for me for sure!  But that is what challenges are for, right?

Here is the card I came up with....

I am pretty happy with it.  That just proves that stretching you comfort zone is worth it!

I had this negative scrap of the snowman left over from my Christmas cards laying around and thought it would be perfect for the sketch and our wintery weather. lol I stamped the little buttons from the coordinating stampset, Snow Place, in Tempting Turquoise.

My greeting is from Crazy for You that I stamped on two separate pieces.

Thank you for stopping by!

Valentine's with Paper Craft Crew

Hello stampin' friends,

I have been working away in my craft space and boy it feels good!  But I needed a little bit of inspiration so I headed on over to the Paper Craft Crew and found sketch #176!

Paper Craft Crew Challenge 176. #papercraftcrew #cardsketch

Great sketch isn't it?  Be sure to stop in and see all of the great creations made using it.  You can do that here.

And here is my card that I created using this sketch...

Well, how did I do?

I was thinking valentines and I LOVE Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler together, so I found this DSP in the English Garden Pack.  I framed it with a Whisper White layer and wrapped my ribbon around them both.  I put them on top of a Crumb Cake cardbase.

I cut the different sized hearts using the retired Heart Framelits and popped them up on Dimensionals.

The greeting has come from the stampset Crazy About You.   I stamped it in Early Espresso.

Thanks for stopping by.

New Stampin' Celebration Challenge

Happy new year!

I hope your year is off to a really great start!  For me and my family we have come out of the gate running!  We have hockey, hockey and more hockey for my oldest and youngest and now skiing lessons are starting for my middle!  Let me tell you, I am glad we had some down time during Christmas.  lol

So, back to some crafting and card inspiration.  Speaking of which, have you seen our picture inspiration over at Stampin Celebration Challenge?  No?  Well here it is....but be sure to check out all of the beautiful creations that were made with them in mind AND make sure you join the fun!

Beautiful pictures aren't they? I just love them.  They made me think of all things wintery and icy.  I love the silvery butterfly and crisp white flowers, but we don't have much of them here in Ontario in the winter time.  So, I opted to focus on the snowflakes, the white and silver and the shine and glimmer.  Here is my card...

My card is white, then silver glimmer, then white again with some vellum on top!  I wanted to use some of my snowflake vellum from the package that was in the Holiday catalogue - I know it is retired, but couldn't resist using it for this card.  I added some extra bling with some different sized rhinestones in the snowflake centers.

My greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes - my go-to greeting set, it has every occasion in there!

Be sure to join us
