Hey there stampers,

It's September 1st and ya know what that means......Yep time for another Bog Hop with my Blogging Friends!

Today, we are celebrating our 1 year Blog-aversary! Can you believe it? One whole year has passed since we began this wonderful journey. And, because that is really something to celebrate - we have some awesome surprises for you - like a VERY special guest Blogging Friend and some of our veteran Blogging Friends have some candy to give awaySo, be sure to stop by all the blogs so you don't miss a thing!

First, let me show you the projects I made to share with you today....

My first project is a celebration card.  Of course!  I thought I would capture 2 celebrations at one time.  My middle son's baseball team finished 2nd at seasons end!  This was his first year playing baseball and he absolutely LOVED it!  All the success they had this season was a direct result of their coach.  So, a card was in order.  :)

I used my Stars Framelits and the Star Confetti Punch.  I also used the new Thoughtful Banner stampset with coordinating Duet Banner Punch.  The DSP is from the Floral Boutique pack and looks just like the stripes on their uniform!

My next set of projects are thank you gifts I made for some co-workers from my day job and I just LOVE how they turned out!

I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits to create these treat holders (a full sized chocolate bar fits very nicely inside). I used some of my favourite retired DSP from my stash to make these special thank you gifts.

Thank you for stopping by and sharing in our Blog-aversary!

Be sure to hop on through the blogs by clicking on the names listed below.  If you are working your way down our list of blogs, your next stop is Rick Adkins - he is SO talented!  I can't wait to see what he made for us this time! Notice our **celebrity Blogging Friend ;)

Stampin Celebration Challenge August Inspiration Challenge

Hey there!  Glad you stopped by!

We have a great Inspiration challenge this week over at Stampin' Celebration Challenge!

What did you see first?  I noticed that big beautiful cake made to look like birch bark.  Second, I noticed the flowers and then the colours .  So with that in mind, I got to work! And here is the card I made...

The colours I used are Sahara Sand, Early Espresso and Whisper White.  I added some Old Olive for my leaves.

Can you see the flowers on my card?  They are made with tissue paper!  I folded some white tissue paper into layers and punch each one 3 times from those layers.  I lined them up again and then used my Stampin' up mini stapler to hold them together.  The final step is to fluff them up!  I thought this technique helped them to look a lot like the ones in the picture.

The leaves were created using the Festive Flower Builder Punch.  I used the Thoughtful Banner stampset for my greeting and used the coordinating punch for the banner.  I finished things off with a multi layer Baker's Twine bow.

Be sure to join us at Stampin' Celebration Challenge and show us the creations you make using these pictures as inspiration!  This is a 3 week challenge and we are still looking for guest designers!

Stampin Celebration Challenge

Hey stampers,

It's time for another challenge over at Stampin' Celebration Challenge....and it's sketch time!  I LOVE a good sketch and we have a good one for ya today!

Awesome, right?  So I was thinking about what type of card to make.  And realized I don't have any cards in my stash for a new baby!  I found a patterned paper that was speaking to me and decided on some complementing colours to create the rest of my card.

I used the Something for Baby stampset and coordinating Baby's First Framelits to create the images for my card.  I popped each one up using dimensionals to add to the layering effect.  My greeting is from the stampset Balloon Celebration I stamped it directly on my DSP ...I am really like how that looks.  Finally, I added a tiny bit of Whisper White Baker's Twine.

Now, hop right on back to Stampin' Celebration Challenge - we are looking for some guest designers - our next one could be you!

Hope you will join us!

Happy Stampin'

Blogging Friends Blog Hop August

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitn2_Kk4lh2JfpKNnHAuFzp8DPbEXByoMLzWqmzJJL2hOVUL5fLgn7EtJo00ssogNHba6i-rg8-xVTmb7_Cfjayjd-Ki3ckfSTXpIks-069yZgLKl-p5aBqfdQ9GQ7mSeu00fXYj3zGm-z/s1600/Blogging+Friends+Icon.jpg

Hey there stampers!

Welcome to the Blogging Friends Blog Hop!”
Who are the ‘Blogging Friends’? We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators located all across the U.S. and Canada who had never met before. Well, actually, we still haven’t met yet (in person). . .
But, through our common bond of Stampin’Up! and a shared love of paper crafting we have created a fun blog hop. Please join us on the 1st of every month to see what wonderful things we have created!
Ready for a wonderful blog hop?  This month's theme is tropical!  Perfect for the type of weather we are having here in Canada - we have been having heat waver after heat wave - I love it!

So tropical is our theme - well the first thing I thought of was my kids will need some thank you cards for their swimming instructors.  So, I went back into my retired stampsets and chose one that I kept for just such an occasion.

I used my two favourite images in this set - perfect for swimming instructors don't ya think?  The images are perfect for colouring. Have you jumped into that trend - everytime I colour I forget how much I love it and how much it is so good to relive some stress!  I used my blender pens and inkpads to add the colour to these little cuties.  Some flip-flps...

....and some little ones having some splashing fun!

The main colours are Marina Mist and Whisper White.  I chose more colours from the Brights family to add to the images.
My little Thank you sentiment is from the new set Thoughtful Banners.

Now, be sure to hop on through all of the stops in our hop.  The list of participants are listed below.  You can click on each one and it will take you to their blog or simply click on the icon below and make the next stop.  I can't wait to see what everyone has created!

Nautical Challenge

Hey there my stampin' friends,

Welcome to my second post of the day!  If this is your first stop on my blog, be sure to scroll down to participate in a tropical blog hop.

Ok, onto my next topic.....we have a really fun challenge for you this week at Stampin' Celebration Challenge.  A nautical theme!

Aren't these picture fabulous?  I love the colours, the anchor and the stripes.

Here is the card I created...

I used Night of Navy, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight to match the colours of the pictures.  I used the Guy Greetings to get my Anchor image as well as my greeting.  The DSP is from the Famous Florals pack and I used my 1 3/4" and 2" circle punch to frame the anchor.  finally, I added a little double bow made from twine.

Hope this card inspires you to participate in our challenge this week.  We are on the look-out for guest designers, so come on and join the fun! So hop on over to Stampin' Celebration Challenge!

Happy stampin'
