Blogging Friends Blog Hop - Marvelous Yellow!

Hey there stampers,

It is the first of the month and we have a brand new hop for you - spring inspired yellow!  I LOVE it.  We have just gotten what I hope was our last snow fall of the year - so some spring inspired, mellow yellow is definitely needed.

Yellow is not a colour I normally run to, but as soon as I heared this was going to be our theme this month, I knew exactly what I was going to make.

When I think yellow, I think sunshine and boy could we use some here in Ontario Canada!  SO, I grabbed some yellow DSP and my Starburst thinlit and I made a card with a matching treat holder.
My colours are crushed curry and whisper white.  My DSP is from a retired pack, but has a distressed look and reminded me of a sunset.
My sentiment for the card and treat holder is from Sunburst Sayings.  I framed the saying on my card using the Stitched Framlits and Layering Circles Thinlits and for my treat holder I used the tag that comes with the Curvy Keepsake thinlits and the Layering Circles Thinlits.
I used my Curvy Keepsake thinlits die to create the treat holder and tag.  I added a little yellow burst of sunshine to the front of the treat holder.
And don't forget to add some extra stamping to the inside of your card.

I hope I have inspired you to use some yellow and brighten up your day.  Don't forget to hop on through all the stops on our blog hop.  Next stop is Rick Adkins - he always has some wonderful creations for us!  You can click the picture below or go through the list at the bottom of this post.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What is the discount I would get on Stampin' Up! products once I become a demonstrator?  20% income on all purchases.  So you'd get 20% off things you buy for yourself, and earn 20% of what you sell.  (it is possible to earn MUCH more, give me a call if you're interested in the detailed income breakdown)

2.  What are the minimum sales you have to have to remain a demonstrator?  $400 retail value per quarter.  All new demonstrators that sign up will have until the end of your first full quarter to meet that goal.  You may even be surprised that you can keep that coveted demonstrator discount by collecting orders from your family and friends to meet your minimums.

3.  What happens if I can't meet my minimum sales?  Stampin' Up! will send you an email to tell you that you have gone into pending status.  They will give you a grace period to get your sales in order.  If after this grace period you cannot meet your sales goal, you will be 'dropped' as a demonstrator.

4.  If I get dropped as a demonstrator, do I have to give back my starter kit?  Do I owe anything to Stampin'Up!?  No and no. You keep all the contents of your starter kit and you don't owe any money.  This really is a no obligation opportunity!

Global Design Project Take 2

Hey there paper people,

I had so much fun creating a card using the Swirly Birds Stampset and playing along with Global Design Project, that I created a second card!

This one with a completely different theme and colour combo and I decided to focus my CASE on the layout!

Here is my card....

And in case you forgot, here is the Global Design Project challenge...

If you follow my blog, you know that I am a mom of three wonderful boys, so when I have a chance to create something 'all boy' I need to jump up on it.

This card I created having a lady at work in mind, she is expecting a baby in the spring and I think she is having a boy - although we don't know for sure, but that's my guess.  I thought these colours just called out to a baby card and that sailboat is all boy.  What do you think?

Be sure to stop on over to Global Design Project to see all of the fun cards that have been created!

Global Design Challenge

Hey there stampers!

I have a super cute and spring like card to share with your today and I created it using the challenge over at Global Design Project!

They have a case the designer challenge this week and I was SO inspired by this talented group!  No wonder they are some of our very top demonstrators!!

Here is their challenge...

I mean there is just so much to love about this card, the colours, the flower and the layout.

Here is the card I created....

I just had to get some spring feeling in my craft space.  We are back to winter these last few days after being spoiled with some unseasonably warm weather - we had eve lost all of our snow!

Anyway, back to my card.  I wanted some fun bright colours and, if you can believe it, I hadn't even played with my Swirly Birds bundle yet!  We made this card in my card class this week and it was a huge hit!

Be sure to stop in to see all of the wonderful creations that have been made using this challenge over at Global Design Project.
