Hey there my stampin' friends,

It is October 1st!  I just love fall and I love the 2 holidays / celebrations that take place inside of this very tiny season.  I am SO happy that we are doing a Halloween theme for our hop this month!

I decided to make a 3-d item or 3 versions of the same item.  I just love making treat holders and halloween is one of my favourites to make treats for.

I just love the Home Sweet Home thinlits.  They are just SO cute and fun to make treat holders.  They make some fun little spooky houses or coffins.  Today I challenged myself to just use the thinlits and ONLY this set.

I was able to make three different designs and there are a ton more that you can make just for Halloween.  Imagine the possibilities for other holidays.

Do you have a favourite? I just love the little hearts, the tiny circles that I used to create the pumpkin, but I think my favourite part of the this set are those tiny little bones! OMGosh.  So stinkin' cute!

Also, really close to Halloween is one of my besties birthday, I always like making her a fall inspired card.  Here is the one I will be giving her this year.  I LOVE making pumpkins with my oval and circle punches.

My final picture is a craft that I made.  My besties and I had some much needed girl time and had come creative fun.

Please be sure to continue along with our blog hop.  I can't wait to see what Rick has created.

Bumble Bee Beauty

Hey there my stampin' friends,

I have a really cute card to show you all today. Using the cutest little bumble bee from the stampset Dragonfly Dreams.  I just LOVE this little bee!

I stamped him on watercolour paper and coloured him with stampin' write markers and wink of stella pen on his wings and body.

I then cut him out using my largest oval stitched thinlits.  Once I had it cut out, I placed the oval under my clear block and curved the phrase to match the outline of the oval.  I pressed firmly to make sure it stayed and then inked it up!  Voila!  a curved sentiment!

I also used the Hexagon Dynamic Embossing folder on this card to give it some extra dimension.

Here are the other cards I created for my  Dragonfly Dreams card class!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Tags for Fundraising Baskets

Hi there,

I have been working hard at balancing all things in my life these days, my little crafting business, working full time, being a mom to 3 very busy boys and fitting in some quality time with my dear hubby, so my blog has been a little bit scattered.

But I do have a fun project to share with you today...a project that I made a while ago for one of son's hockey team fundraisers.

The fundraiser was a raffle for 3 different baskets and each basket had a theme.  (Theme's make things so much fun!)  The themes were 'Boys Club', 'Girl's Night Out' and 'Coffee and Things'. So each of the baskets were filled with beverages and accessories to match each theme.  All parents pitched in and sold tickets for the baskets and then there was a draw for each one.

BUT...what is a basket without a tag that can illustrate the theme?  So, I offered to help and make a tag for each of the baskets.  Here are my tags.....

I used some of my favourite ribbons and retired framelits to help capture the themes.  I found some fun and free fonts online to create the basket name and framed each with the Deco Framelits.  I used my Banner Framelits to create the background with the colour of the basket and some vellum.  Here is the  tag for first basket - girls night out!  It had some yummy girly drinks.

The second basket is for the coffee cognisor.  Oh so cute!

The final tag is for the Boys Club basket - lots of drinks inside for the men!

So which one of my little babies were these for?

My oldest.  (Brace yourself, proud mama moment ahead.)  Here is he is doing what he LOVES......

Male Card

Hello my stampin' friends,

I have a great, versatile card to share with you today.  One of my regular card class ladies had requested a male inspired birthday card - thank you Bonnie for the request!

I also saw that the Global Design Project team had a theme challenge for the week looking for male inspired cards.

GDP103

Here is my card.  I like how it turned out.  My image is one for a retired set that I just had to keep in my stash.  I just love the antique images in this set.  The colours are Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Basic Grey.  I used the circle punches to frame the image.

I used my most favourite greeting set of all time Teeny Tiny Wishes!  If you don't have this set you MUST get it!  lol Seriously it has a stamp for every occasion.  I chose to make this card a birthday card.  Who doesn't need male birthday cards in their stash?

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Be sure to stop over at Global Design Project to see all of the male inspired cards that have been created.
