Happy December!

Welcome this the December Blogging Friends Blog Hop.  This month's theme is Christmas, Hanukah or New Year's.  I chose to share a Christmas project.

Are you getting ready for the BIG day?  I am getting there.  Still lots to do, but one thing is for sure, I have many of my crafting projects complete to start spreading the Christmas Cheer!

One of my most favourite things to create are treat holders!  I love to give them away to my customers, to my card class attendees, my garbage man, my postal worker, co-workers, teachers, almost everyone who I want to wish a bit of Christmas Cheer and that I am thankful for all year long.

This year I knew I wanted to use that super cute little test tub that was featured in the Holiday catalogue. (pssst if you love it too, you may want to stock up, the holiday catalogue is ending January 3)

I also wanted to incorporate some hot chocolate.  So I searched the internet and found a GREAT tutorial from Frenciestamps!  You can see her blog post and video tutorial here

I CASE'd her creation, but changed the sizing to accommodate the packet of hot chocolate that I had.  I also changed the colours to match the DSP and cardstock I had on-hand.  Here is my version of it...
I really liked how it turned out.  I used the Merry Cafe stampset for the greeting on the front of the card as well as the cute little holly.  The cup, lit, coffee cup wrap and cute little heart tab are all created from the Coffee Cups framelit set.
The inside message is from the stamp set Snowflake Sentiments.  I love the tiny little snowflakes that come with the Merry Cafe stampset, so just had to add them!
So I have 24 of them all ready to go and start spreading the cheer!
Don't miss any of the hop and make sure you see all of the wonderful creations.  You can do that by following and clicking on the list below or by clicking the 'continue' button below.  Happy Hoppin'

Be sure to keep checking back for all of my Christmas creations.

Christmas Quilted Bundle Not Only for Christmas

Hey there,

Do you have the Quilted Christmas Bundle yet?  You MUST get it!  It really isn't just for Christmas.  It is perfect for birthdays too.

I wanted to join the fun over at Seize the Birthday and use this bundle to participate.

Our "Toppings" option this time is...

"CIRCLES"

I created this card to include with my Christmas Quilted Bunlde class where we made 3 all occasions cards - a few birthday ones of course - and then 4 of the same Chrstimas cards.  It was lots of fun!

Here is one of the birthday cards....

I love all of the little circles that the Quilted Top Textured Embossing Folder creates - it truly looks like the paper is quilted!  I also love the little pinwheel circles that two of the dies together create.

The colours I chose are taken directly out of the DSP stack from the Quilted Christmas suite!  So many options for this DSP other than Christmas!

My greeting is from my very favourite stampset, Teeny Tiny Wishes.  There is every greeting you can imagine in this set - a definite MUST have in your collection!

I hope you enjoyed my birthday card inkspiration with all of the circles found in the Christmas Quilted Bundle.  Be sure to stop on by the Seize the Birthday site to see all of the wonderful birthday cards folks have created.  You can never have enough birthday cards in your stash.

Another Love Card

Hey there,

I have another 'love' card to share with you today.

I am choosing to showcase a very special wedding card I created when the Mayor of my community asked me to create a wedding card for his daughter who was about to get married.  I mean when the Mayor asks if you would create a card for him to give to his daughter, WOW talk about being honoured!  And a little bit of pressure.

Here is my card...

I do love the white on white look for a wedding card. So pretty!  The dry embossing is the perfect added touch to separate the white from the white, so to speak.

I did hear back from them that they really liked the card.  I hope this gives you some inkspiration for your next wedding card.  It is always great to have one in your stash.

Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights Top Ten Winner

Hi there, I hope your week of off to a great start.

I have a very special post today!  I am SO honoured to be a part of Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights Top Ten Winner Blog Hop!  (Now that is a mouthful.)  Yes, I was selected as one of the top ten for October's Highlight Challenge! Thank you to everyone who voted for me.

The theme for October's challenge was Change, a life change.  It could be wedding, retirement, new baby ect.  It was a fun challenge and you can see my post for the challenge here where I created a wedding card for my sister.  To celebrate, all of the Challenge winners create a second card using the same theme and participate in a blog hop.  The Highlights Top Ten Blog Hop has the same theme.  Sounds like fun right?

Here is the card I created for the hop with the theme Change in mind.

I created a shower card - could be either a wedding shower or a baby shower and always good to have one in your stash of cards.   I used the new Stampin' Blends to colour the umbrella and the clouds.  This was my first project using the Stampin' Blends and let me tell you, they are so easy to use.  I just love how it turned out!  Helpful hint for the clouds - I used the colour lifter to create the white space in the center, an awesome effect for making clouds.

My card base is Crumb Cake and the layers are made from Pink Pirouette and Pool Party.  The DSP is taken from the Coffee Break pack.  The blue on this DSP is actually Soft Sky, but pattern is so soft, it looks great next to the other colours.

Thank you for stopping by today, be sure to hop on through to all of the blogs participating. I can't wait to see all of the projects created!

Fall Blogging Friends Blog Hop

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitn2_Kk4lh2JfpKNnHAuFzp8DPbEXByoMLzWqmzJJL2hOVUL5fLgn7EtJo00ssogNHba6i-rg8-xVTmb7_Cfjayjd-Ki3ckfSTXpIks-069yZgLKl-p5aBqfdQ9GQ7mSeu00fXYj3zGm-z/s1600/Blogging+Friends+Icon.jpg

Hello to all my stampin' friends,

So happy you stopped by today.  As you know, today is November 1st, and that means I get to hop around with my Bloggin' Friends for a Thankfull / Fall Blog Hop.

If this is your first time to my blog, you should know that I LOVE fall!  I love the colours that we experience here in Canada, the cool, but not cold temperatures and the holidays that take place - Thanksgiving and Halloween!   Because we have already had our Thanksgiving (we celebrate it in October) I chose to focus on just plain old fall and Stampin'UP has some awesome products will fall in mind.

My project is made with the wonderful bundle Quilted Christmas!  I just love this bundle and I wanted to show that it can be used for much more than Christmas, although that is fun too! I used Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso and Whisper White to give the feeling of fall.  Here is my card....

This card is a part of my upcoming Christmas Quilted Bundle Card class where we will make 3 all occasions cards (this one I made a get well card) and 4 of the same Christmas cards all using the Christmas Quilted Bundle.  All attendee who purchase the bundle will attend the class for free and one of those lucky people will win a prize of the Quilted Christmas DSP, Embossing Folder and Embellishments.
